Hi, I’m Dr. Kendra McLaughlin, Phd, LPC-S.

I’m committed to bringing healing to children and youth who have been negatively impacted by life’s challenges.

I have worked with children and youth who have been impacted by trauma, adversity, and toxic stress since 2008. While overcoming hardships is not always easy, healing is possible. In addition to counseling services, I provide training/professional development and consultation services to transform schools, foster care homes/agencies, and communities into systems that are sensitive to the needs of those with complex backgrounds. Let’s work together!

Why UpTIC? Healing from trauma begins with understanding how trauma impacts the brain and body. This starts with increasing (Up) knowledge of trauma-informed care (TIC) and moves into integrating trauma-informed practices within everyday life. This integration brings an “uptic” in positive behaviors, school attendance, achievement, attachment, and resilience. UpTIC’s mission is to bring healing one child at a time through collaboration with school districts, caregivers, foster/adoptive families, and community agencies to create rich environments for children to flourish.

UpTIC will work with you to implement proactive strategies for regulation and relationships, reducing the time spent managing unwanted behavior.

You don’t have to do this alone!
