I AM COMMITTED TO HELPING YOU REACH YOUR PROFESSIONAL GOALS.
I’m Dr. Kendra McLaughlin, PhD, LPC-S
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Texas (license #65261) and have been providing supervision since 2014. I enjoy seeing Associates grow in their skills and am committed to helping you find your niche.
As a supervisor, I provide ongoing training, support, and oversight to ensure supervisees are developing into effective counselors. I provide weekly face-to-face or virtual supervision. As an LPC Associate, you will learn the LPC Board rules, learn where to locate the rules and other relevant statutes, be guided on how to manage crises, and be guided through the steps of mandated reporting. You will have a safe space to process your fears, concerns, and successes as you grow into your unique style as an independently licensed clinician. I take my role as a supervisor seriously and work to ensure each supervisee develops into a competent, ethical counselor.
I have worked in residential foster care, a psychiatric hospital, for a managed care organization, and currently work in the school system. My clinical work has primarily been with children and adolescents. I have experience supervising Associates in the following settings:
Residential Foster Care
Community Mental Health
Non-Profit Agencies
School Systems
Group Practice
Psychiatric Hospital
Private Practice
Supervision is conducted according to the standards required by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council.
